They’re calling it “efficiency.”

The VA is celebrating 5-minute audits but let’s really think about what that means.

A veteran’s entire life, medical history, service history, personal statements, nexus opinions, years of struggle is being skimmed through in minutes.

Is it careful review or speed?

When speed becomes the priority, details start getting missed.

I’ve seen too many claims denied because the important parts were buried in records nobody took the time to truly read or understand.

At PambaLaw, we’ve probably been called “too thorough” more than once and honestly, I’m okay with that.

Because we read the files.
We look at the medical connections.
We take the time to understand the veteran behind the paperwork.

This work is too important to rush.

Winning a claim isn’t about moving the fastest. It’s about building it properly the first time.

So the real question is:

Is your claim being processed… or is it actually being understood?

I’ve been watching the VA landscape shift in 2026.

More technology. More speed.
But more speed usually means more friction.

I see it every day...
A C&P examiner flips through a digital file in five minutes.
They miss the one page that proves the service connection.
They miss the "why" behind the pain.

To the big "assembly line" firms, you’re a case number in a high-volume machine.
They don't have the time to hunt for the evidence the examiner missed.
The "perfect" system is a mathematical illusion.

Winning isn't about the volume of files.
It's about the precision of the alignment.

At Pambalaw, we reject the one-size-fits-all model.
We look for the gaps. We find the truth that's buried under the paperwork.
Refinement is the work.

Is your claim being treated like a person or a product?

I’m curious: have you ever felt like a key piece of your story was just... ignored during an exam? 🤔

The 89 Ways to Give Charity Golf Tournament was truly an incredible experience.

We had the opportunity to connect with veterans, veteran families, and both small and established businesses, all while spreading awareness about Veterans Law and the benefits so many have earned but often don’t fully access.

What stood out most was the number of people either directly connected to service or who knew someone navigating the system. Those conversations matter. That awareness matters.

Grateful for the connections, the conversations, and the opportunity to be present in a space that supports such meaningful work.

If you stopped by our table, it was a pleasure meeting you.

No matter where you stand politically, pause for a moment and look at this image. These are not just soldiers. They are someone’s son, someone’s daughter, a husband, a wife, a parent, a future that someone is praying will return home whole.

Behind every uniform is a life that will have to continue long after the mission ends. A mind that must rest again. A heart that must relearn peace. A person who deserves more than survival, they deserve to come back and truly live.

At Pamba Law, this is why we do what we do. Because when they return, the fight should not follow them home. We stand to ensure that those who served are seen, supported, and given the dignity they earned.

Say a quiet prayer for their safe return. And when they come back, remember them.

🚨 VA Disability Rating Rule Officially Revoked 🚨

After intense national backlash, the Department of Veterans Affairs has formally moved to rescind the controversial rule that would have changed how disability ratings are evaluated when veterans are taking medication.

The proposed rule would have shifted ratings toward how a veteran functions while treated, rather than focusing on the underlying severity of the service-connected condition. Advocates raised serious concerns that this could lead to reduced ratings for veterans who responsibly follow treatment plans.

Following more than 20,000 public comments, pressure from Veterans Service Organizations, members of Congress, and the filing of legal challenges, VA has now filed notice to immediately withdraw the rule.

What this means:

• The prior rating framework remains in place.
• VA cannot rely on the rescinded rule to reduce ratings.
• Veterans should not be penalized simply because medication helps manage symptoms.

This is a strong example of how public engagement, legal advocacy, and coordinated pressure can influence federal policy.

Veterans deserve a benefits system that protects, not undermines, the compensation they’ve earned.

***Your VA Rating May be Reduced!***

The VA recently issued a major regulatory update to 38 CFR § 4.10 that changes how disability ratings may be evaluated when a Veteran is receiving treatment or taking medication. In practical terms, VA decision makers may now focus more on how a Veteran functions while treated, rather than only looking at how severe the condition is without treatment.

For many Veterans, this raises real concerns about future rating reductions. Moving forward, medical evidence will need to clearly show the functional limitations that still exist despite treatment, including medication side effects, flare-ups, and the impact on the ability to work and function day to day.

VA has also finalized changes intended to speed up survivor benefits processing. The goal is to reduce delays for surviving spouses and dependents applying for DIC and related benefits, which is a welcome improvement for families navigating an already difficult time.

Another significant policy shift involves the VA fiduciary program. VA announced it will no longer report Veterans to the FBI background check system solely because a fiduciary is appointed. This removes a long-standing concern that discouraged some Veterans from accepting financial assistance when they truly needed support.

Across the country, states are also increasing enforcement against unaccredited claim consulting companies, reinforcing protections for Veterans and helping ensure that those assisting with claims are properly accredited and accountable.

At the same time, quieter updates inside the VA’s M21-1 adjudication manual continue to shape how claims are developed and decided. These internal guidance changes often influence outcomes long before the public notices a formal regulatory change, which is why staying informed matters.

The VA system is constantly evolving. My focus is making sure Veterans understand what these changes mean for them and that their claims are prepared strategically from the start.

Veterans deserve clear guidance, strong advocacy, and representation that keeps pace with the law as it changes.

They said it wasn’t connected I proved it was. 🔊 Veterans, your tinnitus claim isn’t over until the truth rings loud enough for the VA to hear.
