Public Announcement: Please share to everyone! We need your help to spread the word and sign up to receive more information about the National Urban Peace & Justice Summit: Ending Urban Violence campaign of programs and take action solutions to help end the cycle of violent gun crimes in our communities!
We want to include the entire community! We all do better when we work together! We are looking for and need; sponsors, cultural food vendors, bloggers, social media influencers, young people fighting for new music to feed our soul, parents who need to be heard, individuals with the love for their community to be safe, faith based leaders ready to take back our streets, young people that may have lost their way and just need someone who will listen, community based organizations overworked and need a platform to be seen for what you are doing to help our youth, as you can see we believe changes will be made on our urban streets riddled with gun violence when we stand up and take back our streets as “one for all all for one”! Nobody can do what we can do when we come together sharing and caring for one another!
The fact is our youth are in trouble: Gun violence in the United States results in tens of thousands of deaths and injuries annually, and was the leading cause of death for children 19 and younger in 2020. Juvenile Justice Reform is needed now more than ever! Black Americans are disproportionately impacted by gun violence. They experience 10 times the gun homicides, 18 times the gun assault injuries, and nearly 3 times the fatal shootings by police of white Americans.

National Urban Peace & Justice Summit: Ending Urban Violence
On Friday, Sept.30, the National Center for Juvenile Justice Reform (NCJJR) will hold a news conference with national community leaders and activists to announce a campaign of initiatives and programs against gun violence.
The anti-violence campaign is a continuation of the efforts stemming from the gang summits held 30 years ago. Leaders of major “street organizations” that were a part of the National Peace and Justice Summit hosted in Kansas City in 1993 will now use their networks to enhance serious dialogue centered around ending loss of life and unprecedented violence due to handguns and assault weapons.
Identifying solutions to the devastating impact upon the victim, perpetrator, and community is an essential element in understanding what is needed to develop a treatment modality that can be shared by all stakeholders.
The campaign will support local community-based organizations, faith leaders and government officials in engaging “credible messengers” to address street violence. It will reach out to local celebrity rappers to change their message from violence to community development.
Additionally, the campaign will seek greater legal accountability for gun distributors and manufacturers regarding the sale of guns used in the commission of crimes.
It will culminate in Washington, D.C. in April 2023 with an assembly of national community leaders, celebrity rappers and government officials. Sign up now! email: [email protected]
