Remdesivir, sold under the brand name Veklury,[13][14] is a broad-spectrum antiviral medication developed by the biopharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences.[15]

It is administered via injection into a vein.[16][17]

During the COVID‑19 pandemic, remdesivir was approved or authorized for emergency use to treat COVID‑19 in numerous countries.[18]

Remdesivir was originally developed to treat hepatitis C,[19] and was subsequently investigated for Ebola virus disease and Marburg virus infections[20] before being studied as a post-infection treatment for COVID‑19.[21]

Remdesivir is a prodrug that is intended to allow intracellular delivery of GS-441524 monophosphate and subsequent biotransformation into GS-441524 triphosphate, a ribonucleotide analogue inhibitor of viral RNA polymerase.[22]

The most common side effect in healthy volunteers is raised blood levels of liver enzymes.[13] The most common side effect in people with COVID‑19 is nausea.[13]

Side effects may include liver inflammation and an infusion-related reaction with nausea, low blood pressure, and sweating.[23]

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers it to be a first-in-class medication.[24] ..

COVID-19
Hospitalized patients

Remdesivir was approved for medical use in the United States in October 2020.[58][59][60][105] The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved remdesivir based on the agency's analysis of data from three randomized, controlled clinical trials that included participants hospitalized with mild-to-severe COVID‑19.[60][105] The FDA granted approval and reissued the revised EUA to Gilead Sciences Inc.[60] The FDA approved remdesivir based primarily on evidence from three clinical trials (NCT04280705, NCT04292899, and NCT04292730) of 2043 hospitalized participants with COVID‑19.[105] The trials were conducted at 226 sites in 17 countries including the United States.[105]

In November 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) updated its guideline on ther**eutics for COVID‑19 to include a conditional recommendation against the use of remdesivir, triggered by results from the WHO Solidarity trial.[126][127][128][129] Meanwhile, the Public Health Agency of Canada's COVID‑19 Clinical Pharmacology Task Group recommended that remdesivir only be administered to hospitalized patients as part of a randomized controlled trial due to limited information on risks and benefits.[130]

In January 2022, the Canadian component of the WHO Solidarity Trial reported that in-hospital people with COVID‑19 treated with remdesivir had 17% lower relative risk of death (18.7% versus 22.6% death rates) and 47% reduced relative risk for needing oxygen and mechanical ventilation (8.0% versus 15.0%) compared to people receiving standard-of-care treatments.[131]

In September 2022, the WHO updated their guidelines to recommend use of remdesivir for both non-hospitalized and hospitalized patients.[132] This was based on final results from the SOLIDARITY trial that showed a reduction in mortality or progression to mechanical ventilation for non-ventilated patients.

A 10 month-old Baby Could Have FOUR Covid Shots for "Best Protection"

Selected excerpt:

"This vaccination sequence could be completed within four months after starting at six months. Therefore, a 10-month-old infant could have four mRNA Covid vaccine doses.

If you think that four doses of Covid vaccine are a bit too much for a 10-month-old, consider this: any mother crazy enough to subject her infant to Covid vaccines would also receive Covid vaccines while pregnant and while breastfeeding.

I hope my math is not off, but it is conceivable that such a mother could receive three Covid vaccines while pregnant, exposing her unborn child, and one more booster dose when breastfeeding her newborn.

As Covid vaccines are shed via breast milk, a 10-month-old baby could have EIGHT COVID vaccine exposures in their entire lifespan, including pre-birth.

There is more weirdness. The clinical trial of 60 small kids Pfizer referred to had no published results. It was, however, mentioned to the FDA during the Jan 26 meeting."

Israeli politicians pre-ordered Pfizer/BioNTexh “vaccines” BEFORE clinical trials had commenced. Paid upfront fees, hid the contracts with Pfizer and are now busted.

Selected excerpt:

"We are now in a position to know that the entire vaccine industry works to sicken people so that more “treatments” can be administered.

Inject children 70 times for around 400 bucks – treat adults for decades for hundreds of thousands of dollars each.

Some esoteric thoughts in the video at the start, but the guts of the revelations start at around the 8 minute mark.

From “the dog ate our homework” for the actual agreements and contracts with Pfizer, until three more agreements were found.

Remember the hatred and coercion against so called “anti-vaxxers”. A classic case of PROJECTION by the bullies of their heinous crimes."

5 cops charged in deadly beating of Tyre Nichols assaulted another man just 3 days before: lawsuit

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Five Memphis police officers charged in the deadly police beating of Tyre Nichols last month are accused of assaulting another young Black man just three days prior, according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday, CNN reported.

Monterrious Harris, 22, filed the lawsuit against the officers and the city of Memphis, alleging the officers were among several members of the now-disbanded SCORPION police unit who allegedly punched, stomped and dragged him across concrete during his arrest on January 4.

When asked for comment, Major Karen Rudolph of the Memphis Police Department said, "We are unable to comment on any ongoing litigation." CNN has also reached out to the officers and the City of Memphis for comment.

The lawsuit, filed in US District Court, alleges Harris was unconstitutionally arrested and accuses the city of failing to prevent or address an alleged pattern of policing abuses within the SCORPION unit.

Police Brutality

Police brutality is the excessive and unwarranted use of force by law enforcement against an individual or a group. It is an extreme form of police misconduct and is a civil rights violation. Police brutality includes, but is not limited to, beatings, shootings, "improper takedowns, and unwarranted use of tasers."[1][2]

Police brutality in the United States

Police brutality is the repression by personnel affiliated with law enforcement when dealing with suspects and civilians. The term is also applied to abuses by "corrections" personnel in municipal, state, and federal prison camps, including military prisons.

The term police brutality is usually applied in the context of causing physical harm to a person.

It may also involve psychological harm through the use of intimidation tactics that often violate human rights.

In the contemporary era, individuals who engage in police brutality may do so with the tacit approval of their superiors or they may be rogue officers.

In either case, they may perpetrate their actions under color of law and, more often than not, the state apparatus engages in a subsequent cover-up of their repression.

The chief of a Tennessee police department rocked by a s*x scandal involving a married female officer who allegedly had steamy romps with six of her colleagues has been fired.

La Vergne Police Chief Burrel “Chip” Davis was placed on paid administrative leave and then fired Monday after former cop Maegan Hall, 26, filed an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint, WTVF reported.

Hall, who was recently fired for allegedly having s*x with six officers while on duty, alleged in her complaint that Davis fostered an environment that encouraged the misconduct.

Workplace Harassment by Law Enforcement and Correctional Supervisors: Part 1--Sexual Harassment [and] Part 2--Racial and Other Forms of Harassment.

"Protecting employees against workplace harassment is an important obligation of law enforcement and correctional agencies as employers.

Harassment is a corrosive element in an agency’s functioning, can undermine morale, and unfairly subjects hard-working employees to daily torments that add to the burdens and responsibilities that they have to cope with to effectively do their job.

Additionally, as has long been clear, workplace harassment on the basis of s*x or race, as well as other protected categories, is illegal and can lead to lawsuits and substantial damage awards" (p. 201).

Employer liability resulting from s*xual harassment perpetrated by a supervisor is explained.

Part 1 addresses: harassment as in general by a supervisor; Supreme Court definition of a supervisor; quid pro quo s*xual harassment; hostile environment; and same s*x and s*xual orientation harassment.

Part 2 covers: racial harassment; other forms of harassment; suggestions to consider; and additional resources for information.

Sexual harassment

Sexual harassment is a type of harassment involving the use of explicit or implicit s*xual overtones, including the unwelcome and inappropriate promises of rewards in exchange for s*xual favors.[1]

Sexual harassment includes a range of actions from verbal transgressions to s*xual abuse or assault.[2] Harassment can occur in many different social settings such as the workplace, the home, school, or religious institutions. Harassers or victims may be of any s*x or gender.[3]

In modern legal contexts, s*xual harassment is illegal. Laws surrounding s*xual harassment generally do not prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or minor isolated incidents—that is due to the fact that they do not impose a "general civility code".[4]

In the workplace, harassment may be considered illegal when it is frequent or severe thereby creating a hostile[citation needed] or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim's demotion, firing or quitting).

The legal and social understanding of s*xual harassment, however, varies by culture.

Sexual harassment by an employer is a form of illegal employment discrimination.

For many businesses or organizations, preventing s*xual harassment and defending employees from s*xual harassment charges have become key goals of legal decision-making.

Sexual harassment in the military

Sexual harassment in the military is unwanted s*xual behaviour experienced as threatening, offensive, or otherwise upsetting, which occurs in a military setting.[2][3][4][5]

Sexual harassment is more common in military than civilian life.[3][6] Military women experience unwanted behaviours disproportionately,[3][4][7][8][9][10] particularly younger women and girls.[4][11][12][13][14][15] Other groups at high risk include partners of personnel, child cadets, and military detainees.

Risk factors characteristic of a military setting include the young average age of personnel, isolated workplaces, the minority status of women, hierarchical power relationships, a culture of conformity, the predominance of traditionally masculine values and behaviours, and a heavy drinking culture.[4][10][16][17][18]

Harassment is particularly common in certain settings, notably centres for initial military training[1][19][20][21][22] and theatres of war.[10][23][24]

Experience of harassment can be traumatic. It increases the risk of stress-related mental illness,[10] particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).[6]

Nonetheless, typically most of those targeted choose not to raise a formal complaint, expecting repercussions if they do.[3][4][7][9][12][13][25][26]

Despite the development of prevention programmes in recent years, official statistics in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States report increasing rates of s*xual harassment in the military.[4][10][7][8][9][15]

Sexual harassment in the workplace in the United States.

Sexual harassment in the workplace in US labor law has been considered a form of discrimination on the basis of s*x in the United States since the mid-1970s.[1][2]

There are two forms of s*xual harassment recognized by United States law:

quid pro quo s*xual harassment (requiring an employee to tolerate s*xual harassment to keep their job, receive a tangible benefit, or avoid punishment)

and

behavior that creates a hostile work environment (persistent s*xual behavior that unreasonably interferes with an employee's ability to work).

It has been noted that a number of the early s*xual harassment cases were brought by African American women and girls.

The term s*xual harassment was popularized following a consciousness-raising session led by Lin Farley as part of a Cornell University program on women in the workplace,[3] and the term entered popular use in 1975.[4][5]

A number of the original s*xual harassment cases were pursued on behalf of black women and girls.[6]

Police chief warns Memphis not to react violently after release of Tyre Nichols ‘inhumane’ beating video.

By Snejana Farberov and Tina Moore
January 26, 2023 9:40am

Memphis’ top cop has warned the local community not to react with “violence or destruction” when the body camera video of the brutal beating of black motorist Tyre Nichols is released, as law enforcement agencies across the country Thursday brace for possible unrest.

Police Chief Cerelyn Davis issued a video statement Wednesday night, in which she described Nichols’ beating as “heinous, reckless and inhumane” — but at the same time urged the community not to lash out in response to the video.

“I expect you to feel what the Nichols family feels,” she said. “I expect you to feel outrage in the disregard of basic human rights, as our police officers have taken an oath to do the opposite of what transpired on the video.”

“I expect our citizens to exercise their First Amendment right to protest, to demand action and results,” she continued.

“But we need to ensure our community is safe in this process. None of this is a calling card for inciting violence or destruction on our community or our citizens.”

War Crime

A war crime is a violation of the laws of war that gives rise to individual criminal responsibility for actions by combatants in action, such as

- intentionally killing civilians,
- intentionally killing prisoners of war,
- torture,
- taking hostages,
- unnecessarily destroying civilian property,
- deception by perfidy,
- wartime s*xual violence,
- pillaging, and

for any individual that is part of the command structure who orders any attempt to

- committing mass killings including genocide or ethnic cleansing,
- the granting of no quarter despite surrender,
- the conscription of children in the military and
- flouting the legal distinctions of proportionality and military necessity.[1]

In 1949, the Geneva Conventions legally defined new war crimes and established that states could exercise universal jurisdiction over war criminals.[1]

In the late 20th century and early 21st century, international courts extrapolated and defined additional categories of war crimes applicable to a civil war.[1]

International Criminal Court 2002

War crimes are defined in the statute that established the International Criminal Court, which includes:

Grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions, such as:
Willful killing, or causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health
Torture or inhumane treatment
Unlawful wanton destruction or appropriation of property
Forcing a prisoner of war to serve in the forces of a hostile power
Depriving a prisoner of war of a fair trial
Unlawful deportation, confinement or transfer
Taking hostages
Directing attacks against civilians

Directing attacks against humanitarian workers or UN peacekeepers
Killing a surrendered combatant
Misusing a flag of truce
Settlement of occupied territory
Deportation of inhabitants of occupied territory
Using poison weapons
Using civilians as shields
Using child soldiers
Firing upon a Combat Medic with clear insignia.

The following acts as part of a non-international conflict:
Murder, cruel or degrading treatment and torture
Directing attacks against civilians, humanitarian workers or UN peacekeepers

The following acts as part of an international conflict:
Taking hostages
Summary ex*****on
Pillage
R**e, s*xual slavery, forced prostitution or forced pregnancy

However the court only has jurisdiction over these crimes where they are "part of a plan or policy or as part of a large-scale commission of such crimes".[10]

Crimes Against Humanity

Crimes against humanity are widespread or systemic criminal acts which are committed by or on behalf of a de facto authority, usually by or on behalf of a state, that grossly violate human rights.

Unlike war crimes, crimes against humanity do not have to take place within the context of wars, and they apply to widespread practices rather than acts which are committed by individuals.[1]

Although crimes against humanity apply to acts committed by or on behalf of authorities, they do not need to be official policy, and they only require tolerance rather than explicit approval.

Unlike war crimes, crimes against humanity can be committed during peace and war.[2]

They are not isolated or sporadic events but are part either of a government policy (although the perpetrators do not need to identify themselves with this policy) or a wide practice of atrocities which is tolerated or condoned by a government or a de facto authority.

War of aggression,
war crimes,
murder,
massacres,
dehumanization,
genocide,
ethnic cleansing,
deportations,
unethical human experimentation,
extrajudicial punishments including summary ex*****ons,
the use of weapons of mass destruction,
state terrorism or state sponsorship of terrorism,
death squads,
kidnappings and forced disappearances,
the use of child soldiers,
unjust imprisonment,
enslavement,
torture,
r**e,
political repression,
racial discrimination,
religious persecution and
other human rights abuses

may reach the threshold of crimes against humanity if they are part of a widespread or systematic practice.
