Employers Trying To Discourage Lawyers From Representing You

Entities that own sports venues in New York bar attorneys who sue them from attending sporting events. This would include attorneys who represent their current or former employees in employment cases. While not mentioned in the article, could this constitute illegal retaliation for opposing discrimination in the workplace? Are the corporations that own these venues protected from being sued by the lawyers for retaliation because they were never employees of the venues? What about public accommodations laws that bar discrimination based on race, s*x, nation origin, s*xual orientation, disability, religion, and/or age … ? Would this retaliatory action of baring attorneys who sue them for violating discrimination laws violate these public accommodation laws?

MSG Entertainment resorted to facial recognition technology to kick out legal foes, but some have undermined the ban using a law passed to protect theater critics in 1941.

Many older Americans, who may have never faced significant discrimination in their lifetimes, all these f a sudden find that they are being ignored, patronized, thought of not able to contribute to society and/or the workplace by younger people. It’s outrageous but too often accepted in American society. If you have been discriminated in the workplace because of your age, don’t meekly tolerate it; report it and pursue a claim if your complaint is not resolved internally. Employers shouldn’t interfere with romantic relationships between equals in the workplace. Sexual harassment laws are intended to protect workers from being s*xually harassed or exploited by their workplace supervisors and managers and to mandate that employers prevent the continuation of s*xual harassment from co-workers. It should not give the employer the power to prevent relationships between equals in the workplace.

Distracting, maybe. But T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach did something extremely normal by falling in love at work.
