says you have to have your rental property inspected for lead paint and registered on the state rental registry by October 1, 2024.
They have announced that they will not start imposing fines because they realize that there is a severe lack of lead paint inspectors, and a ton of properties built prior to 1978.

As part of the new law, if your rental property is not registered on the online rental registry, you cannot evict your tenant for non-payment of rent. But you can't register your rental property without a lead certificate.

If you aren't actively browsing the Department of Health website, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, as there has been no information distributed, and there has been no information provided regarding registering for folks that aren't on the internet.

Oh by the way, good luck finding a lead inspector. I had recently heard that they were booking well into 2025. It now appears that they have stopped booking at all.

Can one of my attorney friends please file a lawsuit seeking injunctive relief?
