Today I had the privilege of speaking to the Essex County TRIAD about why an estate plan is important for everyone, regardless of how much or how little wealth a person has. A Power of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directive and Will are vital documents to ensure that someone will handle your financial and health matters when you cannot and to assure that your assets are distributed upon your death based on your wishes and not by the laws of intestacy.
