What I heard in a Northern Neck Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court during a six-way custody trial:

👩‍💼Attorney of Petitioner #5: “Your Honor, my 84-year-old client should not have to answer intrusive questions about his s*x life.”

👨‍⚖️ Judge: “Ma’am, I can assure you that at 84 years old, your client probably knows more about s*x than anyone else in this courtroom.”

😅🤷‍♂️ As a therapist would say… that’s a lot to unpack.

👨‍⚖️ Defense Attorney: “Deputy, in your report and your testimony, you stated that my client had a collision. What did he collide with?”

👮‍♂️ Deputy: “The earth.”

Responsibilities:

• Manage and respond to emails and phone calls.
• Schedule and coordinate client meetings and case management.
• Assist with social media management and marketing.
• Conduct legal research, writing, and data entry.
• Handle client management and transcription.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Clio, Zoom, and Generative AI programs.
• Experience in legal research, communication, and project management.
• Strong adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge or experience in criminal and family law is a plus.
• Must have reliable internet access.
• We are willing to train the right candidate!

Compensation: $12-16 an hour, subject to increase with time and experience.
