As of January 1, 2025, you can now be ticketed in Missouri for using your cell phone or other electronic device while driving. This includes phones call, text messages, and most other uses.

So, to avoid a ticket and keep everyone safe, pull over or use a hands-free device.

Electronic communication device, use of while driving prohibited, when — citation of law — definitions — school bus operations, prohibited acts — inapplicability, when — penalties for violations — search of device, right to decline — preemption.
