By creating an estate plan, you will make such a move without legal worries. In this presentation, you will find out the answers to such questions as:

- What happens if I am in a nursing home and I run out of money?
- If I go to a nursing home, can I still leave money to my children?
- When should I update my old will?
- How do I choose who makes decisions for me if I am unable to do so in the future?
- Can a nursing home or the state take my home if I go into a nursing home?

In the early hours of Friday morning my mom’s spirit was reunited with my Dad’s. They can now be together without the stresses of this life. They came so far from their start at such a young age. She did her best to raise 5 kids through some lean times with her tough Irish perseverance and we are all better for it. Love you and miss you Mom.

Thank you to the Jamestown Rotary for the opportunity to speak at their recent meeting about elder law and this nice gift. I am always grateful for the opportunity to speak on this subjet and spread the word about how families can protect assets. There is always an option to protect assets whether a family is planning ahead or even has a loved one in nursing home already. Thanks again Jamestown Rotary and Mark Carnevale.

Josh Sroka (The Law Office of Joshua A. Sroka) recently presented Perry Raso with Matunuck Oyster Bar's 2021 Chamber Choice Award plaque.

Matunuck Oyster Bar was nominated by their fellow Chamber members because the restaurant recognized a need in the community when schools and businesses shut down last year. Without hesitation, they provided free lunches to any student or senior in need, and donated many dinners to the residents of the Welcome House of South County. They were also one of the first businesses to reach out to South County Health and offer to feed their hardworking staff.
