Virginia Coalition of Police and Deputy Sheriffs

Virginia Coalition of Police and Deputy Sheriffs Virginia Cops is not a charity it is a police officers organization which works hard to improve the VCOPS also promotes Officer Safety and Survival.

VCOPS is a working cops organization that was established to provide one united voice for Virginia's law enforcement officers. Our goal is to improve wages, hours and working conditions as well as to increase the recognition of the professionalism of law enforcement in Virginia. We also provide training and consultation to our member organizations and individual LEO's. Finally, we work on a state

level to introduce and support legislation which is beneficial to all of Virginia's law enforcement officers and oppose legislation that reduces benefits to law enforcement.

Ever wonder how they made the footage from within the patrol car on Adam-12 look so real? It's hard to see in the pic but the patrol car is towed behind a lead vehicle. There is a big blue awning covering the car from the top lights to the back of the tow vehicle to cut out glare and wind moving their hair. So all the traffic you see out the windows is real. There are mics over both actors and cameras mounted on both sides of the hood and in the middle to capture all angles. It was pretty complex for the time and was all created by Jack Webb after trial and error. Very cool!
