Virginia Coalition of Police and Deputy Sheriffs Virginia Cops is not a charity it is a police officers organization which works hard to improve the VCOPS also promotes Officer Safety and Survival.

VCOPS is a working cops organization that was established to provide one united voice for Virginia's law enforcement officers. Our goal is to improve wages, hours and working conditions as well as to increase the recognition of the professionalism of law enforcement in Virginia. We also provide training and consultation to our member organizations and individual LEO's. Finally, we work on a state

level to introduce and support legislation which is beneficial to all of Virginia's law enforcement officers and oppose legislation that reduces benefits to law enforcement.

THIS IS THE LEFT: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is dragging gun-control politics directly into the process used to equip police officers.

His new executive order gives city officials 90 days to develop additional standards for purchasing fi****ms, ammunition and related equipment for city departments. This includes the Chicago Police Department.

Bureaucrats can now scrutinize vendors based on their business practices, regulatory inspection histories and whether fi****ms they previously sold were later recovered during criminal investigations. A firearm could be lawfully sold, stolen or illegally transferred years later, and the original vendor could still face scrutiny because a
criminal eventually got his hands on it.

Police officers do not get a second chance when their equipment fails. Their fi****ms and ammunition should be selected by experienced professionals based on reliability, performance and officer safety. NOT an activist-approved political test from City Hall. Police officers are not political props.
