Villa Rica Police Explorer Post 314 Villa Rica Police Explorer POST 314 has been very successful in competition taking home many first place and top placement awards.

Law Enforcement Exploring is the preeminent career orientation and experience program for young people contemplating a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system. Its mission is to offer young adults, 14 and have completed the eighth grade and not yet 21 years old, a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competit

ion, and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism. All Exploring programs are based on the following five areas of emphasis: Career Opportunities, Life Skills, Citizenship, Character Education, and Leadership Experience. Explorers everything from how to communicate on the radio to conducting a Felony Traffic Stop, then travel to various competitions where the Explorers are able to test their skills against other Explorer POST. Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursday’s of the month from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Villa Rica Police Department. For more information please contact Cpl. Moore or Officer Rowan at 770-459-5149

VR Explorer Post 314 will host an open house on 3/26/19 for interested students and their parents. The open house will take place in the training room of the Villa Rica Police Department from 7:00p-8:00p. The program is for students who are currently in the 8th grade (rising 9th) -20 and is interesting in learning what it takes to be a police officer.
