Turkey has suspended all visa services regarding the U.S. citizens at its diplomatic and consular missions in the U.S. This measure applies to sticker visas as well as e-Visas commonly obtained at the airport in Istanbul or at other border entry points. The U.S. has also suspended visa operations in its consulates in Turkey.

There is no telling how long the bilateral dispute will last. If you have booked trips to Turkey for clients you should warn them that they may be denied entry upon arrival. Passengers with reservations to travel to Turkey may need to first travel to a Turkish embassy in a third country in order to get a visa to enter Turkey. If a client wants to cancel a trip due inaccessibility issues, the client's ability to get a refund for the trip will depend on airline and supplier rules and/or the terms of the trip cancellation insurance if such a policy was purchased. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-41556557

Turkey and the US scaled back visa services after a US consulate worker in Istanbul was arrested.
