Our annual reminder:

Are you a property owner in Michigan? Every year around this time you should receive a Form L-4400 or L-4400-LH from your local assessor. Even though this Notice states in bold letters – THIS IS NOT A TAX BILL – property owners should review it carefully because it includes the current year’s proposed taxable value as well as the dates and times to appeal 1) that proposed value; 2) your property's zoning classification; 3) "transfer of ownership” determination (i.e. uncapping of taxable value); and 4) whether the property is afforded the Principal Residence Exemption or the Qualified Agricultural Exemption.

Lots of information in a one page notice and important to understand the basis for your 2025 summer and winter property taxes.

Today is a bittersweet day at GHC, PC. Many have gotten to know Gabby over the past couple of years. She has served our clients with cheerfulness, attention to detail and patience.
