Please call me at 360-502-7022 with any questions about the new law regarding non-parental custody cases (or so-called third party). How the court in Clark County are handling these are different than in Cowlitz County. In Clark County, the court will start dismissing unfinished NPC cases starting on July 1, 2021.

There is an Eviction Resolution Program starting in Clark, King, Pierce, Snohomish, Spokane, and Thurston counties. If you need help getting current on rent, don't bury your head in the sand. Ask questions and seek help.

DIVERTING THE EVICTION WAVE: Concerned that a large influx of evictions may hit communities and courts after state and federal moratoria on evictions are lifted, the Washington state judicial branch has developed an Eviction Resolution Program (ERP) that can be implemented in all superior courts to require problem-solving steps before the cases come to court.

The program will be implemented this week in six pilot counties which experience the majority of the state’s eviction cases – Clark, King, Pierce, Snohomish, Spokane, and Thurston counties.

The goal of the program is to bring all parties together with trained Eviction Resolution Specialists and rent assistance program staff to explore solutions.
