My lawyer fun days used to mostly be spent in courtrooms before juries (aside from what the all-consuming navigating on a knife's edge feeling does to the rest of life). But, these days,navigating as a business, real estate, transaction, zoning, planning and development lawyer, comes with a different sort of fun day. Today, Jeremiah and I started the morning hiking through brush, used tires and trash with a team of true professionals in the field trying to find a project in the midst of a former borrow pit and landfill, while preserving what nature reclaimed. Along the way we learned about interesting plant species (hummock, sedge, button bush), saw antler rubbings, hornets nests and the havoc fly dumpers contribute. Such an energizing start to our day in the company of engaging personalities and minds.
