It is our honor to announce that our founding member Jay Skinner has been assigned as the State Staff Judge Advocate for the Alabama National Guard. As the State Staff Judge Advocate, Jay serves as the senior military legal advisor to Alabama's Adjutant General, the Commander of the Alabama Army National Guard. In addition to his civilian legal practice in Birmingham and Valley Head, Alabama, Jay has simultaneously served over 21 years in the United States Army JAG Corps. Please join us in congratulating Jay on his new assignment.

Our own Col. Jay Skinner spent the past week with his Legal Advisor counterparts from Romania visiting Alabama and experiencing many of our state’s legal and cultural sites, courts, and institutions. Romania has been the Alabama National Guard’s state partner for over 30 years. It was a great experience for everyone.
