After serving for many years as managing shareholder and practice group leader, in 2015 Scott Reynolds decided to separate from his previous firm along with attorney Jim Forbes. Together they envisioned a practice tailored to better suit the needs of the communities they live in and thus Reynolds Law LLP was born. In 2016 Doug Spletter, a former colleague, joined the partnership

and together these community-focused leaders began to grow their practice. Generations:
After quickly acquiring two small firms in the Fairfield and Vacaville area Reynolds Law LLP took a huge leap forward with the purchase of the Generations Law firm based in Sacramento. Generations was started by Trudy Nearn in 1995 and quickly developed into one of the top Estate Planning firms in the Sacramento area. When she made the decision to retire in 2016, Scott, a long-time friend, and a colleague jumped at the opportunity to purchase the firm and add our excellent Litigation and Business services to an already stellar Estate Planning practice. Because of the great community involvement and reputation Trudy built, Scott and his partners decided to retain the Generations name in the Sacramento area, but make no mistake whether you call Reynolds Law LLP or Generations, you’re reaching the same great firm that offers excellent full service to individuals and businesses alike.
