On July 20, 2025, I celebrated my 10-year anniversary with Langacker Law.

I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in a career that allows me to make a real difference through the work that we do.

The Illinois State Bar Association has awarded the 2022-2023 Newsletter Editor Service Award to Ronald S. Langacker of Langacker Law. The award was presented “in Recognition and appreciation of outstanding and dedicated service to the Human and Civil Rights Newsletter,” for Langacker’s 5 years of service as editor of the ISBA Human and Civil Rights newsletter.

Langacker accepted the Award during the ISBA Member Appreciation Reception on September 14, 2023, at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Chicago.

During his time as editor of the Human and Civil Rights Newsletter, Langacker himself published nearly a dozen articles, on topics such as the Illinois Workforce Transparency Act, Illinois Workers’ Rights Amendment, and other issues relating to Human and/or Civil rights in Illinois and on a National scale. Langacker has also published articles for the American Associates for Justice Employment Law Newsletter and the ISBA Diversity Matters Newsletter.

“I’m honored to have been recognized by the ISBA,” Langacker stated. “This has been a very active time in regard to Human Rights developments, and I believe it’s important for people to stay up to date on the changes in the law on both a state and federal level.”

The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) has adopted emergency provisions for individuals applying for unemployment benefits due to .

​Unemployment benefits may be available to some individuals whose unemployment is attributable to COVID-19. IDES recently adopted emergency rules to try to make the unemployment insurance system as responsive to the current situation as possible.
