Stella Bleu in Springfield is a casual fine dining restaurant where the chef actually prepares the food and has so much passion for serving quality dishes. His passion goes all the way back to watching his grandma cook and he is still carrying on the tradition in Downtown Springfield. The space is also so beautiful and they have a great patio as well you should go check them out.

Despite what you may have been told, there are not enough lawyers.

I just got back from Iowa where I was invited to speak about managing a law firm that has offices in small towns. Some of my talk was showing the statistics regarding the lack of lawyers in small towns in Ohio and Iowa but it is a problem across the country.

After I spoke, a gentleman approached me and said when me opened his practice in 1986, he was 1 of 75 lawyers in his county. Today his county has 15 lawyers left and many of them are close to retirement. The population of his county has also grown during that time.

I believe we are heading toward a crisis in small towns if we don't figure out how to attract talented young lawyers that want to practice in small towns. We also need to focus on how to manage small town law practices so they are both economically viable but also more customer service friendly to the local clients. It is a big problem that not many are talking about and even less are doing anything to alleviate the issue.

If you are a lawyer or know a lawyer that wants to help clients outside the big city but doesn't think it is possible, please reach out to me.

Because every town needs a Hometown Lawyer.

O'Conners Irish Pub stays busy with all sorts of fun events on top of all the regular things you would expect from an Irish pub with a full bar. The place is so spacious and the outdoor patio area is great for the nice weather days this summer.

Found the most Iowa restaurant I could find but they served me a Texas Tw***ie! Great spot and three people failed to finish that giant piece of cake.

I never would have thought that going around highlighting small-town Ohio while wearing my Reds hat would lead me to Iowa, but here we are.

Tomorrow, I get to speak to a bunch of Iowa lawyers about the opportunities small towns provide if you are willing to dig in, make real connections, and do a good job.

Being on camera can be nerve wracking, especially when you were not the originally scheduled spokesperson. These young ladies jumped in last minute when the boss couldn’t make it and made Blended - Açaí Bar proud by doing a great job.

I love how they talked so much about the customers they get to meet and all of the other locs businesses which make this part of town so great. Go check this place out they make really great stuff…my favorite is the one with the peanut butter and bananas!
