So this is the bright side, the firm now has a completely renovated office. We are fully open for business so stop in and say hi.

A little over 8 weeks ago, the office suffered a flood when a pipe burst in the ladies’ room. The office was completely full of water from the kitchen to my office (and all points in between). We had no power for over 5 weeks except for an extension cord that was run from a neighbor’s apartment to keep the firm’s fish tank going. As always, I looked for the bright side and hoped that at the end of this mess something positive would come out of it. Keep in mind throughout the first weeks without power, the firm kept operating. I would come to work in the dust, with my cell phone and with daylight. I was also fortunate to have friends, Lloyd Bennett and Chip Walden/Mary Ann Andrews, who let me use their offices when needed and some others who offered as well.

Completed my first virtual jury trial in Hudson County and received a verdict of $150,000 for my client. Very thankful for a jury that took their civic duty serious although technology and COVID has made it more difficult.

Happy to announce that I was able to a resolve a personal injury matter for $1.6 million for a wonderful client who had an enduring backstory as a 9-11 survivor. 16 years to the date of 9-11, returning from the same job she held on on that tragic day, my client had a bus accident resulting in serious personal injuries. I will always be grateful to her for trusting me to represent her interests in this matter and for deciding to remain my client during a very tumultuous year of professional change.
