2023 is the second year Flowers Davis Immigration Law, Flowers Davis, PLLC and Ginger Durham Young have coordinated and sponsored the Viva la Rosa - East Tx Quinceañera float and participants in the Texas Rose Parade. We knew it was all about community – and family! – but have been truly humbled at the outpouring of interest and enthusiasm from the young ladies who are participating. While they are all excited to show off their dresses (which otherwise would’ve been worn only once), they are also grateful for their families and community.
Read for yourself what some of this year’s participants had to say about what this means to them and their families.
🌹 I would love to participate in the Rose Festival Parade because I think it would be really nice to show everyone my dress that my parents worked really hard for!
🌹 Since I was a little girl, I’ve always looked forward to the Rose Festival. It represents my community, and my family always attends. The fact that I could represent the community and show my family’s heritage means the world to me!
🌹 Being part of the Rose Festival Parade would be very significant for my family and me, as it would honor our Mexican roots. It would allow us to showcase the vibrant colors, lively music, and captivating dances that are deeply ingrained in our culture. The parade would be a beautiful fusion of traditions, bringing our community together and celebrating the diversity that makes us who we are!
🌹 I want to be in the Rose Festival Parade in honor of my sister who passed away before being able to have her Quinceañera.
The 🌹Quinceañera float and participants are sponsored by Ginger Durham Young, Flowers Davis, PLLC and Flowers Davis Immigration Law. Special thanks to Paulina Pedroza, Viva la Rosa - East Tx, KETK Reyna Revelle, and all the others who’ve worked tirelessly to make this happen!
