Ciudadanía por nacimiento: lo que decidió la Corte Suprema! ⚖️

La Corte Suprema de Estados Unidos confirmó que los bebés nacidos en Estados Unidos califican para la ciudadanía, aun cuando sus padres no tengan estatus migratorio regular. La decisión rechaza el intento de limitar ese derecho por orden presidencial.

Esto significa que la regla de ciudadanía por nacimiento sigue vigente: si una persona nace en territorio estadounidense, generalmente tiene derecho a la ciudadanía al nacer.

¿Por qué importa esto?
Esta decisión da mayor certeza a muchas familias inmigrantes y protege un principio constitucional importante. También evita que se niegue la ciudadanía a un niño solo por la situación migratoria de sus padres.
