Greetings Family,

With a new year sometimes comes updates to laws in a particular state. In Ohio, 2020 brings a change in the states minimum wage rate. What was previously, $8.55 has now increased to $8.70.

Employees in tip based jobs (bartenders, servers etc.) minimum wage rate has gone from $4.30 to $4.35.

Employees working overtime will be paid 1 1/2 times their hourly rate, except where an employer grosses less than $150,000.
