I’d like to personally thank the guy that stopped his car in the middle of Peoria Ave at 36th Street today at 3:50 PM, backing up all traffic both ways including me, on a busy Friday in Tulsa. He then proceeded to walk out into the middle of the street with his hand motioning “STOP!”, halt all traffic, and vigorously motioned to an elderly woman to cross the street in the pouring rain. He then looked right at me, motioned to his eyes and then to the pedestrian crossing sign at the side of the road and then pointed at me. As I watched the half-soaked elderly woman cross the road I felt horribly guilty for not having noticed her or the Pedestrians Right of Way sign. My embarrassment and humiliation was dwarfed only by the joy I felt witnessing this simple act of kindness and it's reminder that there’s still some good guys out there that act when they have to. Funny thing is… turns out they really do wear white hats! Commit a random act of kindness this weekend!

If, at any point, you feel desperate enough to do this... don't. It's highly illegal and you may very well end up facing charges that involve prison time.
