Every January, Dr. King is frozen in 1963. His demands for reparations, redistribution, and moral debt are erased. This is the work he left unfinished and the bill America still refuses to pay.

It’s hard to put into words what it meant to stand with our community and celebrate the life of Viola Ford Fletcher. To me, she was more than a client, she was a guiding light, a living testament to resilience, and one of the last living survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre. At 111 years old, Mother Fletcher’s wisdom, grace, and courage in the face of unimaginable injustice shaped who I am and fueled my commitment to justice.

As I honor her memory, I feel an even deeper responsibility to carry her story forward and continue the fight for justice for Greenwood. Rest in power, Mother Fletcher. Your legacy lives on in my work and in the hearts of all you touched.

Beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to host an event, do several interviews, and visit with dozens of National Leaders at the In Chicago.

I will be posting lots of content and thoughts about the amazing experience over the next week. I am starting first with this picture with National Party Chair Jamie Harrison who confirmed that his wife is a descendant of the .

Jamie said his wife’s grandfather fled for his life and was so afraid that he changed his name after fleeing. Jamie and his wife supports my work and and looking to joining our descendants network!

In celebration of Juneteenth this year, we at are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming
Genealogy Workshop. This event is hosted in collaboration with world-renowned
genealogists specializing in Black ancestral history and sponsored by Tulsa
Juneteenth and Oklahoma State University's Center for Family Resilience.

In a world where there’s been no justice for many of us, the theft of our story is a direct
impact of planned disruptions to family connections. The loss of personal histories is
deeply felt through our DNA for generations.

If it weren’t for the stories we share in our homes, circles, and communities, Black people's rich ancestral history and narrative could have been reduced to being mere
survivors of slavery, death, and modern-day imprisonment.
What’s worse is, some of us, depending on the schools we attend, spend much of our
years learning about the history of people who don’t look anything like our own family
members.

On June 15th, 2024, from 10 AM to 3 PM, we’re hosting the “Know Your Roots: Genealogy
101 Workshop" to help you reclaim your family stories and piece together your heritage.
Without this research, we risk losing the incredible stories passed down through
generations.

P.S If you believe you may be a descendant of the Tulsa Race Massacre or Black Indians,
this event is especially for you. We're hosting special sessions, including a Genealogy
Reveal and one-on-one meetings with expert genealogists and historians. They will guide
you in tracing your ancestry and exploring your family's past.
We can't wait to see you there!
