My groups of appraisers (myself and my associate) has been working together for several years, were trained by a certified appraiser with more than 25 years of full time appraisal experience, and were privileged to learn first hand how a down economy and real estate housing market can effect the world of appraisal. Needless to say, although it is tough, we have learned that appraising with integrity wins in the long run; we have watched as many in the industry made the mistake of practicing fraudulence and deception, only to facing tough consequences. Fortunately, although this gives our industry a bad name, there are still honest appraisers; and as the eligible appraiser list thins out, more opportunities await.
