What exactly was disorderly about not taking off a helmet? An excellent question whose answer Mr. Pfaendler is still waiting to hear. But more importantly, video shows that Mr. Pfaendler was never asked to remove his helmet.

Your thoughts?

Did you hear about the guy down in Sahuarita who got arrested for disorderly conduct after he refused to take off his motorcycle helmet in a Walmart earlier this week? This is NOT a picture of him. A similar situation happened again at a different store in Tucson. Details down below.

Back to the first case of the guy in Sahuarita. Police have't released specific details only saying 22-year-old Freedom Pfaendler was arrested after walking around a Walmart early Tuesday morning with a full-faced motorcycle helmet and backpack on.

The store manager told police he asked the man to remove his helmet a few times and he didn't do it. There are no details on how he refused or his demeanor.

The manager called 911 and Pfaendler was arrested and booked into jail. I asked Sahuarita Police Department public information officer, Lt. Sam Almodova, for more details and was told, "this scared customers and disrupted business.
This was something we took serious. The manager asked this person several times to remove the helmet as he walked through the store with a back pack."

I'm waiting to hear back with my follow up question, "what exactly was disorderly about not taking off a helmet?"
__________

Now, to this picture. On Wednesday, a customer at the Safeway on Broadway and Campbell snapped this picture of a man in the store. It was the following day after the other guy was arrested in Sahuarita. As you can see, he's decked out in dark clothing and wearing a helmet. The customer told me, "he walked in and didn’t take the helmet off. Just stared at every one. He had tubes coming out in places and leg braces.
Covered head to toe. Scared me."

I checked with Tucson Police to see if anyone called police on this guy and they got no reports. No one called. Would you?

The Next Chapter

Award-winning trial lawyer Richard Wintory is the owner of the Next Chapter Family Law Center. Richard spent decades as a prosecutor before transitioning into private practice. During that time, he tried hundreds of complex cases and obtained justice for victims in Southern Arizona. His clients benefit from his unrivaled skill as a litigator. But he also approaches his practice with humility, humor, and a guiding philosophy that, when it comes to family law issues, the best work an attorney can do is help a client move from where they are to where they want to be. That's the vision behind The Next Chapter Family Law Center; it’s even in the name! This philosophy and the strong commitment Richard feels toward his clients led him to strike out on his own and start a new firm, one centered on clients and results not billable hours. So here’s to new adventures and to The Next Chapter.
