🚨 Scam Alert: Tolls – Don’t Fall for Fake Texts or Calls!
Important reminder for all Arizona residents: THERE ARE NO TOLL ROADS IN ARIZONA.
So if you get a text, call, or email saying you owe money for an unpaid toll, it’s a scam.
We’ve seen a recent rise in these convincing messages pretending to be from ADOT or toll agencies. They might threaten fines, license suspension, or legal action.
Here’s how to protect yourself:
❌ Red Flags:
- Requests to pay via text or over the phone
- Suspicious links saying “pay now” or “final notice”
- Messages that don’t include your license plate or official documentation
✅ What to Do:
- Ignore and delete the message
- Never click unknown links or give payment info
- Only pay for real Arizona vehicle-related items through ServiceArizona.com
- Know that real bills come by mail, not text
📰 We just covered this in our client newsletter—complete with tips and trusted resources to keep you and your loved ones safe.
🔐 Stay one step ahead.
Bonus Tip: We recommend signing up for scam updates through trusted community groups like R.O.S.E. and Green Valley’s Scam Squad, even if you don’t live there.
