If you are married, and your spouse needs long term care, you should now allow extra time before you apply for ALTCS (Arizona Long Term Care System - Arizona's implementation of Medicaid). Consult with us at least 100 days before you would like your spouse to qualify. We will provide advice about medical eligibility due to changes in ALTCS procedure. This may enable you to safeguard more of your assets.

Per a special order from the Arizona Supreme Court, patients in hospitals who need guardians appointed no longer have to receive court papers from a process server. Instead, the hospital administrator can give the court papers to the patient and note the fact in the patient's chart.
