Each year, The Daily Record's Leading Women Under 40 Awards recognize women who are 40 years of age and younger for the accomplishments they have achieved so far in their careers. Honorees are selected based on their professional experience, their involvement in the community, and their commitment to inspiring change. This year's class was chosen by previous Leading Women Under 40 honorees together with a representative of The Daily Record making the recognition a distinction bestowed by peers who understand what meaningful leadership looks like.

The 2026 class was celebrated at an awards reception on Wednesday evening at Gertrude's Restaurant at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Profiles of this year's honorees appear in a special magazine inserted into today's issue of The Daily Record and are available online at TheDailyRecord.com.

Jasmine's selection reflects the dedication, drive, and professional excellence she brings to her work every day, and we are honored to have her as part of the TNS Family Law team. We're thrilled to share that Mary Sanders has been named to the 2026 MD500!

On June 16, 2026, Associate, Jasmine N. Pope, was sworn in as the as the 42nd President of the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland, Inc. (the “Alliance”). The Alliance was founded in 1979 and is Maryland’s first bar association developed by and for black women. Jasmine’s theme for her bar year is “Purposefully Present.”

As an office, TNS attended Jasmine’s swearing in, and hosted a reception afterwards in celebration of this accomplishment. We look forward to her year as President.

Congratulations to Alexis L. Holiday and Jasmine N. Pope, both named to the 2027 Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.

This is the third consecutive year each has earned the honor, recognized every year since 2025. The Rising Stars list highlights the state's top up-and-coming attorneys. No more than 2.5% of lawyers in Maryland make the cut. It's a distinction earned through peer recognition, independent research, and a track record of results.

At TNS Family Law, family law matters carry real weight for the families involved including custody, support, divorce, and the futures of their clients. Alexis and Jasmine bring sharp advocacy and genuine care to that work every day, and this recognition reflects it. We're proud to have them on the team and excited to see what's ahead.

American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Fellows Mary Sanders and Rebecca Fleming recently attended the 2026 American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) National Family Law Conference in Las Vegas.

The conference offered outstanding continuing legal education with a practical, forward-looking focus. Topics included the ethical and effective use of AI in family law practice, protecting law firms from cybersecurity threats, business valuation issues, anticipated tax law changes, strategies for high-net-worth divorce cases, and the unique challenges of gray divorce. Mary and Becky look forward to putting what they learned into practice.

Christopher W. Nicholson has been named to the Top 100 Maryland Super Lawyers list every year from 2013 through 2027. More than a decade of sustained recognition speaks to the depth of his experience and the trust he's built over a long and distinguished career.
