Spencer Gordon graduated "Order of the Coif" from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1986. Following a judicial clerkship, he worked for four years as a Litigation Associate in the law firm of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, handling mostly personal injury cases. He left the firm in 1991 to gain criminal law experience as an Assistant Public Defender, and now handles a strong mix of Criminal

and Personal Injury cases. Gordon's experience makes him equally adept at handling both criminal and civil matters, he has staked his reputation primarily through his relentless defense of those charged with criminal offenses. Few criminal attorney can say they have won more cases than they have lost, but Mr. Gordon has done just that, obtaining numerous acquittals in serious felony cases in state courts throughout Maryland. He has won outright acquittals on behalf of four separate clients charged with Murder. In a recent murder case in Anne Arundel County, he developed alibi evidence so persuasive that prosecutors dropped all charges against his client. Gordon is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association.
