Oliver & Grimsley is celebrating its 11th Anniversary! It seems like just yesterday Mike and Kim took that leap of faith and started Oliver & Grimsley. What better way to start the celebration of your firm’s 10-year anniversary than at a client’s bourbon distillery! We had the absolute pleasure of spending Friday afternoon with co-founders Sean Coogan, Scott Sanders and Dan Dawson of To***co Barn Distillery, LLC, a veteran-owned business that we have had the honor to work with since they started in 2014. The To***co Barn Distillery is located on 35 acres in beautiful St. Mary’s County. We toured the distillery, learned about the distillery process, and we heard so many cool stories about the making of some of their bourbons - my favorite of which is the story of To***co Barn’s 700 MPH BOURBON. Attached is the link to this wild 700 MPH BOURBON story. Of course, we truly enjoyed the tasting of each of the bourbons, and I gained a whole new appreciation of bourbon.

And….
Contrary to what everyone believes – bourbon did not originate in Kentucky, rather it originated in Southern Maryland!!

Our evening finished at Sweetbay Restaurant in their private dining area, so we could laugh and be as loud as we wanted as we shared stories and reminisced over the past 10 years. The food and the service there was absolutely amazing! If you find yourself in Southern Maryland, add this restaurant (and the To***co Barn Distillery!) to your “must do” list.
