As some of you know my family is from Malaysia. Now for some weird reason I get chills 😬 when I meet someone and they tell me they are from Malaysia or Singapore, which doesn’t happen very often in SoCal. So when I got the call from a client and heard that impeccable “la” accent 😲on the phone, I immediately ask if where they were from and sure enough, Singapore. It’s hard enough trying to get assimilated into a new country, but they were also looking to buy a house in this crazy market. It took multiple offers and multiple houses and even down to the last day when you think everything is covered, sometimes you just gotta say goodbye to some of that bling ✨ 💎💍⌚️✨ to get it over the finish line. 😓 Always appreciative of my clients for allowing me the opportunity to help find their home, but even more so to be able to help “ga di lang”. 😉

I can still hear my “Gugu” laughter ringing through the house as we sat around eating her curry noodles 🍝, while the uncles played majong in the patio and everyone else watched the latest football/basketball game on tv. Then uncle would come in and ask who we bet and if it’ll cover or not, 😂. Every house has their own special story, this one just a little closer to me than others. Thanks fam for trusting me with this one. 🙏

On one of my early west Torrance door knocking sessions I was invited into my client’s home to have a look. I’m no small dude, but when a sweaty, shirtless 6’3” athletic guy invites you into their home . . . you hesitate 😬. I just found out his wife was actually home sleeping that day and could hear us causing a whole lotta commotion and gOt him in a bit of trouble later. Sorry bud. This was their first family home and with two little boys they were bursting from the seams and needed something bigger. We were suppose to get the home on the market earlier this year, but COVID allowed us to take our time to see what was going on and gave Kevin, what was initially a 1 room paint job, become a paint the whole house affair. Patience and paint definitely paid off as the final closing price set a record for west Torrance homes under 1200 sqft. Thank as always to my awesome clients for allowing me to be a part of the fun.
