One of the most common questions we get is: "Where is the Torrance divorce court?"

The truth is, you don’t actually file in Torrance specifically. Because Torrance is part of the Los Angeles County Superior Court system, your case will likely be handled at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse or another designated family law branch.

What you need to know before you head to the clerk:

Residency Rules: You (or your spouse) must have lived in CA for 6 months and LA County for 3 months.

The Paperwork: You'll need to correctly file your Petition (FL-100) and Summons (FL-110) to get the clock started.
