🚨 Attention Contractors in California! 🚨

Recently, there's been a surge in sting operations by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) across California, especially in the Inland Empire. Beginning in June 2023, these undercover efforts have led to potential criminal filings for unauthorized contracting practices.

Key points to remember:
1. Any construction work over $500 in CA should be executed by a licensed contractor.
2. Bidding over the legal limit can lead to citations, with some bids reaching up to $18,000 during recent stings.
3. Unlicensed advertising for construction services can lead to charges, unless it's clear you're only taking projects under $500.
4. Avoid asking for hefty down payments. The law stipulates a max of 10% or $1,000, whichever is lower.
5. Violating these guidelines can lead to misdemeanors, large fines, or jail time.

If you're anxious about any CSLB matters or face charges for unlicensed contracting, our seasoned attorneys are here to guide and defend you. Initial consultations are free. Don't risk your livelihood; contact us today!

We have seen an increased volume of clients contacting us after being the target of various sting operations conducted all over California by the Contractors State License Board (“CSLB”).  This includes several contractors in the Inland Empire, as well. The official start of these undercover cr...

What is it? Keeping your address of record current with your license board. That's it.

So often we hear from licensed professionals who have had their license revoked and they never received any notification about it, because it all went to the wrong place.

Luckily, we can help. Read our latest blog to get all the info -

One of the saddest and most frustrating issues we see that arises time and time again is the revocation of a client’s license by "default." That is, without the licensee responding to the "Accusation" or the official notice of intent to revoke his or her license, which then allows the…
