Kansas Bar Association YLS The KBA YLS page provides the latest updates on news, opportunities, and events relevant to Kansas young lawyers.

Kansas Bar Association Young Lawyer Section is the Kansas Bar Association's largest section with over 1,400 members. Throughout the year, KBA YLS organizes and hosts Continuing Legal Education Programs, socials throughout the state, unique pro bono opportunities, and the State's High School Mock Trial Competition. KBA YLS provides young attorneys with various opportunities to grow personally and p

rofessionally and to network within and outside the state. KBA YLS membership consists of KBA members who are under thirty‐six (36) years of age or who have been admitted to any bar less than five (5) years. Membership is FREE for law students and new bar admittees. Membership is merely $10/year for all other qualified members.

Volunteers and sponsors are needed for the 2019 KBA YLS HS Mock Trial Competition.
This year’s case is a civil case and regional competition is on February 23rd in Olathe and Wichita. State competition is on March 23rd in Topeka.
