Hernandez not only completed the DUI Detection & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Student course (the same course police officers take), but he also became an instructor in those same tests. In 2011, Mr. Hernandez became a certified operator of the Alcotest 7110 operator, the breathalyzer currently used in New Jersey. Also in 2011, Mr. Hernandez attended and completed a 3 day DRE overview course, to assist him in drug related DUI’s. In September, 2011, Mr. Hernandez became the first New Jersey lawyer to receive a certificate in Forensic Gas Chromatography (the way blood is analyzed) at Axion Laboratories in Chicago, Illinois.
