Policy makers should deem grocery store, pharmacy, and food processing workers eligible for "first responder" benefits to support the workers who must work during the pandemic, including:
- free childcare while working;
- free health care coverage for all coronavirus treatments, tests and medicines;
- free personal protective equipment; and
- paid leave for testing, quarantine, isolation, medicine and treatment resulting from coronavirus.

The Ohio legislature has extended the Ohio Primary election voting through April 28th - time is limited. The cancellation of in-person voting on Mar. 17th left many Ohioans without the right to vote on many candidates, issues and levies. Now is your chance to make your voice heard.

If you already voted, your vote will be counted and you do not need to do anything. If you did not early vote for the Primary, you now have the next month to cast absentee ballots through mail.

Visit the Ohio Secretary of State for more information and for the application to request your ballot. You may complete the Absentee Application online - but it must be mailed to your County Board of Elections to receive the correct ballot.

I am certain many of my female colleagues can relate to the results outlined in this Bloomberg Law article - Pay Gap, Lack of Credit Push Women Out of Law Firms!

The article summarizes the results of a study conducted by the American Bar Association which found that there is a disparity among the leaders of a firm and the female lawyers - 91% of firm leaders felt their firms were active advocates of gender diversity, while only 62% of the women lawyers responding thought the same thing.

The study's conclusion - “What needs fixing is the structure and culture of law firms, so firms can better address the needs of the many women they recruit and seek to retain.”
