One whole year. 🤍
I’ve been wanting to post for a couple days now, but every time I sit down to write something, I realize I can’t fully put into words what this past year has meant to me or how it feels to be your mom.
This has been the fastest, hardest, most beautiful, emotional, exhausting, meaningful year of my life all at the same time. There were days I felt completely overwhelmed, days I questioned myself, days I was running on no sleep and pure adrenaline… but then you’d smile at me, laugh, curl up on my chest, or look at me with those big eyes and somehow nothing else mattered in that moment.
You changed my life in every possible way, AJ.
Not just my routines or priorities, but me.
You made me softer and stronger at the same time. You gave my life a kind of purpose and love I truly don’t think I understood before having you. It’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it, but my heart genuinely exists outside of my body now.
Watching you grow this past year has been the greatest privilege of my life. Watching your personality come out more and more, hearing your little laugh, seeing how curious and determined you already are… I wish I could bottle up every stage forever.
And somehow, our baby is ONE.
One whole year with AJ | Alastair Jr. 🩵
Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to celebrate AJ mastering his first year ⛳️🏌️💚 It meant so much to have so many people we love all together celebrating our little boy and this incredibly special first year of his life.
I know every stage will go too fast, but if this first year taught me anything, it’s that even in the chaos and exhaustion, these really are the days I’ll cherish forever. ✨
