🔥 BREAKING NEWS! 🔥
With the current heat advisories out, we have made plans to open the shelter early Thursday, August 13, 2026 and Friday, August 14, 2026. We will open at 4pm to provide our shelter clients with some relief from the elements. We will continue to modify as we are able if sustained heat advisories continue. This is only possible because of our faithful donors, supporters, and friends and our flexible and caring shelter staff. Thank you to each person who plays a part in helping the shelter provide refuge from the night for those in need.

🥣 If you, your church, or organization would like to provide morning take away bags of breakfast food, snacks, and water to help clients get through these sweltering days, please let us know!

💜💚💙 Thomasville, we’re coming your way! 🚌

We had a great pre-site visit with our friends at Wecovery Peer Recovery Center at Georgia Pines Community Service Board as we prepare to bring the 2026 Georgia Recovers in Communities Bus Tour to Thomasville!

We’re grateful to Dan Bailey, Wecovery Program Manager, and the entire Georgia Pines CSB team for partnering with us to hold a Celebration Stop in Thomasville. We’re looking forward to an evening of connection, community, and celebrating the hope and possibilities that recovery brings to individuals, families, and communities across South Georgia.

A special thank you to our partners and funders at Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, whose continued support helps make the Georgia Recovers Bus Tour and recovery-focused work across our state possible. We were especially glad to have Jennifer Dunn, Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Field Operations South, and Rachel Palmer, Regional Director, join us for our visit.

September will be here before we know it, and we can’t wait to come back to Thomasville and celebrate with the community! 🚌💙💚💜
