Sullivan TPC Mission

It is our mission to help make Sullivan County a cleaner and healthier environment for all residents and visitors!

Seeking to reduce youth and adult tobacco use rates, reduce secondhand smoke exposure, particularly among marginalized populations such as the very young, elderly, and the disabled. In the process, we will prevent youth in Sullivan County from becoming tobacco users, help existing tobacco users quit, and educate the public as well as community leaders on the harmful effects of secondhand smoke. The Sullivan County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition is responsible for advocating for smoke-free policies throughout Sullivan County. This is accomplished by utilizing funding recieved from a grant with Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation. General Information

The Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Board was created through the funds generated by the Master Settlement Agreement between 46 state Attorneys General and the tobacco industry, and by legislation enacted by the Second Regular Session 111th General Assembly. The Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Agency is responsible for developing programs to prevent and reduce the usage of tobacco and tobacco products in Indiana by utilizing best practices for tobacco control programs developed by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
