A Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA) is not required for a True Default divorce; however, your divorce becomes an Uncontested divorce with MSA at our Step 5, if your spouse files a response, is an active-duty servicemember, or you and your spouse want to settle disputed issues with an MSA. So, at our Step 5, we may change your divorce from a True Default to an Uncontested divorce with MSA for an additional $595 lawyer fee. The MSA covers court orders for minor children, as well as the division of property, assets, and debts. Please see our 5-step payment plan below.
