Shop Local Stay-cation Tehachapi
The City of Tehachapi will offer a Shop Local Stay-cation Tehachapi program beginning June 1, 2026.

Members of the community who shop at businesses located in the City of Tehachapi are encouraged to save their receipts. They can stack their receipts (combine) until they total $250.00, then bring them to Tehachapi City Hall or the city booth at Farmer’s Market and redeem the receipts for a gift card at another local business.
Purchases from all City of Tehachapi businesses are welcome. One gift card per household per day, must be an adult (18 years of age or older), identification will be required at time of receiving gift card. Note City of Tehachapi employees and their immediate family are NOT ELIGIBLE.

The Shop Local Stay-cation Tehachapi program will end when the last gift card has been awarded.
This is the third Shop Local gift card program the City of Tehachapi has offered over the past few years. The idea is stimulating the local economy and reward people for shopping in Tehachapi. Our local stores are owned and operated and staffed by Tehachapi residents, aka “our neighbors”.

The City of Tehachapi will also be hosting a series of free events that are family-friendly throughout the summer, including the Music on the Mountain concert series (6 different shows), July 3rd, 4th, & 5th 250th anniversary of America celebration, 4th of July Parade, Farmer’s Market and few more fun events.
