Trump's Latest Evil Strategy:

(1) Take immigrants who have already won their immigration cases by proving the would more likely than not be tortured in their native countries;
(2) Deport them to another country they've never lived in;
(3) Let that other country force them back into their native country where they have already proved they would be tortured;

Allow me to explain just how stupid our federal government has become. ICE just arrested an immigrant at the end of a green card interview after he overstayed his visa. The law makes it extremely clear that an immigrant with no criminal history who is married to a US citizen can get a green card even after overstaying a legal entry. Because of this arrest, we will now pay to keep him detained for probably two weeks. We will pay to transfer him out of state. We will pay an immigration judge to hold a bond hearing and then to ask the government attorneys at that hearing, "Why are you wasting my time with this case? Bond granted." Then he will be immediately released on the minimum bond. Then he will be added to the huge backlog of immigration cases in the court system, at the end of which the judge will give him his green card anyway.

Our government's blind hatred of immigrants (legal and illegal alike) has resulted in so much stupidity, while so many people ignorantly cheer it on. I'm counting the days until this psychopath is out of the White House...

The man’s attorney expects him to wind up back where he started, in an interview room trying to get his green card, but with him and his family “having suffered needlessly” in the meantime.
