Just like our waistbands after the holiday festivities, Precinct Four will be expanding a little come January 1st. Every ten years, after the Census, precincts are subject to redraws in an attempt to equally distribute population of the county. These precinct lines are for the Commissioner, Constable, and Justice of the Peace.
Precinct 4 will now cover Taylor, Hutto, Thrall, Coupland, Granger, Bartlett, Schwertner, Weir, Walburg, Jarrell, and eastern parts of Round Rock and Georgetown.
If the map doesn’t say it all, here are the geographical (square miles) size breakdowns per precinct.
