"How quickly we forget. How quickly we forget”. “One generation passes, two generations pass, and we don’t remember where we came from and suggest that there is ‘us’ and there is ‘them’ — not remembering that we used to be ‘them.’” - Barrack Obama
We came from somewhere; not just the wombs of our mothers and the seeds of our fathers, but from a long line of generations who came before us. While you achieve your American dreams, remember that generations made it possible for you. Your conducts, actions will make it possible for the generations after you to achieve their American dreams as well.

An L-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows employees of an international organization to enter the United States to work in their U.S. office. This visa classification is temporary and subject to extensions.
There are two (2) major types of L-1 visa such as the L-1A and the L-1B visas. The L-1A are visas reserved for employees working in a managerial or executive capacity of an organization. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) creates a special route to lawful immigration status for victims of domestic violence, stalking, dating violence, and sexual assault who normally must rely on their abusers to obtain legal status. VAWA is a very powerful immigration option for both men and women and helps victims get the green card through self-petition, which they ordinarily could not do.
To qualify for VAWA:
1. You must be in a qualifying relationship (parent, child, or spouse) with an abusive U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
2. You must have resided with the abusive U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident at some point.
3. You must have suffered abuse at the hands of the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; and
4. You must be a person of good moral character.
