El 9 de Marzo de 2021 entró en efecto el TPS (Temporary Protected Status) que decretó el Presidente Biden para ciudanos elegibles de Venezuela que estuvieron presente en USA en esa fecha. El 10 de Julio de 2022, el gobierno extendió el período de TPS para Venezolanos por un año y medio más. Si usted es Venezolano y pidió TPS en el decreto original, si tiene que someter una petición para renovar su período de TPS hasta el 10 de Marzo de 2024. La renovación no es automatica. Si usted pidió TPS y no se ha aprobado, igual tiene que someter petición para renovarlo. USCIS no puede aprobar su TPS inicial y la renovación en una sola petición. Por el momento no se pueden someter peticiones de renovar el TPS. Hay que esperar que el gobierno publiqué el aviso oficial en el Registro Federal.
