Sharpless, JUST COMP, PLLC exclusively represents injured workers in Workers’ Compensation, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation and Defense Base Act cases from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) in 1996. He has been practicing in the area of workers’ compensation law his entire career. John was admitted to the Florida Bar in October of 1996,
and is licensed to practice before all Florida state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. John began his legal career representing Social Security claimants in 1996 and soon thereafter joined an insurance defense firm defending workers’ compensation claims and claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. John has only represented the injured and not insurance companies. From April of 2002 through April of 2013, John was a partner in the firm of Osborne & Sharpless in Tampa representing exclusively the injured in workers’ compensation, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation and Social Security disability cases. In 2013, John became a partner at Winer Law Group in Tampa representing the injured exclusively in Defense Base Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Florida State Workers’ Compensation claims and Social Security Disability cases. In 2002 John became Board Certified by the Florida Bar Division of legal specialization in the area of workers’ compensation law and has been recertified four times through July of 2027. In 2007, John was selected as a “Superlawyer” in the field of workers’ compensation law. John has been married to his wife Jennifer for over 27 years and has three children. He enjoys playing the guitar, harmonica, singer/song writing and backpacking when he is not practicing law. Memberships:
