🏡 FLORIDA HOMEOWNERS — LET’S TALK ABOUT AMENDMENT 3! 🗳️
As a Florida Licensed Broker with years of experience in real estate, I have witnessed firsthand how rising property taxes, insurance costs, and monthly mortgage payments are putting tremendous financial pressure on homeowners.
I have seen hardworking families struggle to maintain homes they worked their entire lives to purchase. Homeownership should provide stability and financial security, not become an overwhelming financial burden.
Amendment 3 proposes meaningful property tax relief for qualifying Florida homeowners:
âś… Increasing the non-school homestead exemption to $150,000 in 2027.
âś… Increasing that exemption to $250,000 in 2028.
âś… Reducing the annual assessment increase cap on non-homestead properties from 10% to 5%.
âś… Leaving school property taxes unchanged.
I understand the concerns surrounding funding for police, firefighters, emergency services, infrastructure, and environmental protection. These services are essential to our communities, and the potential impact on local government budgets deserves serious consideration.
But we must also recognize the very real affordability crisis affecting Florida homeowners. Keeping families in their homes matters, too.
After years in this industry, one thing I know is that affordability doesn't end when someone receives the keys to their home. It continues every single year they own it.
I encourage every Florida homeowner to educate themselves, understand what Amendment 3 would change, and make their voice heard on November 3, 2026.
🏡 Protecting the dream of homeownership starts with understanding the cost of keeping it.
