Prior to law school, he obtained dual degrees in finance and economics as an undergraduate at John Carroll University. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and North Carolina as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern districts of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. He is a member of several professional and community organizations, including the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Alumni Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the United States Supreme Court Historical Society. When not serving his clients, Mr. Frey shares his experience and knowledge with others. He serves as an adjunct instructor at Ursuline College, and he has been asked to speak to many local groups, including the Northern Ohio Academy of Pharmacy, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, on a variety of legal topics.
